you the word "Aikido demonstration ," what kind of thing do you imagine?
-
- It feels like the technique is applied in the same way as it is
- It looks like he's dancing
- The other person is flying without permission
I'm sure some people will be perceived as above.
we will report on
Aso Mountain Flag Sports Competition Supporting Skills Meeting
hosted by Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture , which was held on July 20th, 2019 (2019-07-20) what we felt and thoughts during the subsequent joint training sessions.
Experiment Association If you are just starting out, we would appreciate it if you could learn what demonstrations are.
We would also like to hear various opinions from experienced people.
First, let's start with the demonstration
First of all, when you hear the word "experiment," you may think of it as a performance.
there are no "matches" in Aikido
The answer is "demuring" where you can show off the skills you have learned in your daily practice.
take a look at the demonstration by Director Honda of Chintokukan Aikido , which I attend
You use each move in succession one after another.
For example, you can throw it forward, show it through the back, handle the thrust, and then move it like this.
I think his speed, technique and response are amazing.
Some of the audience were screaming, "Ahhh! Amazing!"
I also practice every day because I want to reach this level.
Next is a demonstration between me and my senior.
I'm the one who's been given the technique.
The woman who uses her skills is a senior.
There are a lot of things to reflect on, but I think this is good.
The overall flow of the demonstration event
The flow of the demonstration event is roughly speaking:
-
- Children's demonstration
- General category demonstration
- The Dojo Directors (Directors)'s performance
That's how it goes.
Before the demonstration began, the people from each dojo held their final rehearsal.
Furthermore, there were more general audiences than expected, and it seemed uncalculated that there were no chairs.
But I'm very happy. I would be happy if you could take this opportunity to become interested.
First, about 10 elementary school students in the childhood club performed their own consecutive skills.
It's a shame that I can't post pictures.
I think this has been practiced quite a bit.
The general section is a demonstration by an instructor or general member, not a dojo director (director) and a pre-professional.
I joined here. I was very nervous!
To be honest, my memory fell apart halfway through!
And finally, the demonstration is performed by the dojo directors (directors).
The demonstrations using a large number of people and weapons were very educational.
Personally, I was impressed by the final demonstration by the chairman of the Japan Aikido Promotion Federation.
This is because they can throw and master the two of them while sitting down, using only one finger
Sorry I couldn't post any videos or photos.
There was also a joint practice session
After the first Aikido Flag Aikido demonstration event, the Japan Aikido Promotion Federation held a 90-minute joint practice session.
The teacher who taught me was Noguchi-sensei from Yoseikan Aikido in Nagasaki.
The main focus was on rehearsals about "breathing ability."
I always do it in rehearsals, but I can't do any of the techniques at all. . .
I was also taught by the teacher, but I still can't.
It's the first dan, but because it's the first dan, I have to accept myself that I can't do anything! That's what I felt.
Now is the start of my career as an Aikido artist.
After the practice, we greet everyone and head straight to the hotel.
Various interactions at social gatherings
It was a social gathering in the evening.
It was a lot of fun as I was able to talk to various people from other dojos (classrooms).
I have been particularly aware of the conversations I had with the teachers.
That means there is no correct answer for Aikido.
How can you achieve correct aikido? There was a topic of discussion.
At the time, Professor Sunamome responded:
"Do your aikido."
In other words, there is no such thing as "aikido," and
what do you want to be?
What do you want to do?
This means that it is important to practice while thinking about it.
I was listening to this in a nod to my head.
Also, as I mentioned earlier, what I noticed at the beginning
was "I haven't done anything."
But that's fine. If you haven't done it, don't think about it.
If that happens, growth will halt.
If you think you "understand" or "know" anything, you're out of it.
Learning and growth is over here.
I realized that all seniors are always working hard with the idea that they haven't done it yet.
Second day joint practice
On the second day, I had a slight hangover lol and started practicing in the rain.
The venue is the dojo of Ikushokan Aikido in Aso, the main martial arts hall of the Japan Aikido Promotion Federation.
There is a sign at the entrance.
The entrance to the dojo. It tightens my mind.
The teacher I will be instructing is Professor Miyahara of the Aikido Yukikai in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture.
He taught me everything from basic breathing skills to basic techniques and self-defense techniques.
It made me think that breathing power is something you can't gain, it's something you can notice.
I was told that my own quirks weren't a single technique, and that it would stop halfway through.
Professor Sunamome also said, "It's flowing."
I'd like to do my best to do it next time.
Then, 90 minutes later, the second day of practice was over.
Summary and thoughts
Thank you for reading this article to the end.
It was my first time attending a demonstration event, so I practiced hard for about a month.
I was also very nervous.
It is a very effective output to show off what you have learned through daily practice at a demonstration event.
So this time I learned three things:
-
- There is no failure. The answer is that you've done it all.
- I haven't done anything yet.
- How serious is he (prepared)?
Even if you make a mistake during the demonstration, just keep on going.
This can be said in both personal and work, and you should not seek the correct answer.
always what you want to do and act on it, that's the correct answer for that person.
I've been practicing for five years in the first dan, and I once again realized that
I haven't done anything I have no choice but to research this every day.
How serious are you and prepared to take Aikido?
There were some events that made me realize this.
Although I will not write about it here, I will continue to practice seriously.
Aikido is a martial art that does not have a match and does not aim to defeat an opponent.
Therefore, it is highly recommended for children, women and elderly people.
I would not be more than happy if you could have any interest in this report.
thank you very much.
That's all.
