Perhaps because of the long weekend before Obon, the number of students practicing was 4 people, one adult, one junior high school student, and two elementary school students.
I think it's important for young children to have fun.
What is Aikido still? I don't think you have to think about that.
Anyway, I imitate the movements the teacher showed me, and if I could, I would be happy, and if I couldn't, I would think about it.
So when there are fewer students, I can listen to the teacher's stories, so I think it's an opportunity for me.
The key to today's training is the words that appear at the beginning of
the spirit of Aikido It's about " Aiki is love
Aikido does not play games. Or we will not practice (practice) based on the premise of a match.
In the first place, the idea that martial arts are a temporary thing to call competition.
Even if I win today, I might lose tomorrow.
That's why it's more important to go beyond where you are today than winning or losing.
is reflected in path of absolute self-completion within the spirit of Aikido
If you are aiming for martial arts or a match, you will think of exploiting your opponent's weaknesses.
That is, the goal is to "beat" the opponent.
However, if you move through the world with that kind of way of thinking, it will inevitably become a fight.
Isn't that obvious? Because it's a competitive society.
That may be true. But even in a society where this is not the case, it is possible.
That's why Aikido is not intended for matches.
The principle of techniques is not made to collide with the opponent and control them.
Rather, the situation involves
leading you to the person facing and moving forward together By doing so, you will no longer be able to fight without realizing it.
Instead of exploiting the opponent's weaknesses, they will continue to guide their good points.
Isn't this the most important point of view of "aiki is love"?
That's why I want my children to continue this uncontested martial arts, Aikido.
Whenever I come to the dojo (classroom), I always pray, greeting, and clean.
Even if it's just cleaning, how can you make the other person happy? That makes me think about that.
This way you will acquire social common sense and gradually become more skilled.
Once adults can be disrupted with breathing power (a word meaning "using power in Aikido,"
it will give you a lot of confidence.
Children who were quiet when they first began, but before they knew it, they became the ones who led the other children.
Watching this kind of growth makes me feel more attentive as an adult.
In addition to Aikido, children live busier lives than working adults, including piano and club activities.
After learning a lot, what do you notice from it?
How do you want to be?
And what kind of influence will I have on those people around me?
If that happens, what kind of world will be created?
It's a bit of a stretch, but if we can think about these things, we can have hope for Japanese society in the future.
What I've noticed now after learning Aikido is
「Nothing is done」
That's what it is. (^^;
Hey hey, I'm sure there will be a flood of comments like, "What are you talking about?"
, but it's only because you've worked hard that you'll hit a wall.
And jump over there.
In other words, it is important to let go of what you are saying, gain courage, and try to surpass it.
I think children who grow up quickly can unconsciously do this kind of thing.
"Consent" is within your world, so if you are satisfied with it, you won't grow.
That's why I would be happy if they could abandon their ``convinced'' and develop their ability to see things from a different angle.
It was a bit difficult at the end, but the point is two points.
1. Aikido is something that grows with your opponent. That's aiki, which means love.
2. It will affect your child's emotional growth.
What is Aikido? ?
Let's jump beyond the boundaries in front of us and learn together.
It was Taiko.
