Hello, this is Taiko.
Wow, it feels like another month is long and long.
Rehearsals will be cancelled throughout March (impact of COVID-19). . .
This is really long.
I'm getting bored of practicing silently by myself, and I've read a lot of books.
At times like these, I watch videos from my ancestors and learn what I need to gain.
My master is Professor Sunatomo Kanhide.
After teaching at Army Nakano School and other schools as an apprentice to the founder, Professor Ueshiba Morihei, he opened a dojo in Kumamoto.
There are valuable footage of the Great Professor's demonstration event.
↓↓↓ (30 seconds into the second half is a demonstration by Shiota Gozo)
He appears to be in his 60s at this time.
Still, it would be amazing if you could move like this.
The breathing power that comes out from the magnificent body movement.
I tried imitating it myself, but I couldn't keep up;;
Of course, he is an inner student, so if he continues to practice for hours every day for years.
Yes, of course, you'll learn it.
But can I be this way even if I practice the same quality and quantity?
I can't say yes there. . .
However, as soon as the topic of Aikido comes to mind,
I get fed up with Professor Shiota and Iwama, but I am very proud to be able to learn Aikido, which follows Sunatomo Sensei's flow.
I wonder if we'll resume practice soon. . .
