With the new year in mind, I want to start something new ! Are you thinking that?
Kumamoto is getting warmer and warmer.

I want to be more active!
Yes, it's martial arts! It's Aikido!
I want to grow both physically and mentally!

Aikido the place where this can be achieved .

Previous article
: " Explanation of how to visit Aikido dojo (classroom) in Kumamoto Prefecture, necessary tools, and monthly fees ."

It had a pretty good reputation, so this time I would like to write about what I've learned after I started.
If you are looking for an Aikido class (dojo), please refer to the article below.
* Opens in a new window ^^

About this time

This article is for those who have just recently entered the Aikido class (dojo) .

I'd like to learn Aikido now!
But I don't know where to go! If you are saying this, please refer to the article above.

I've just started, but where and how do I buy jiyo uniforms and hakama?

If you are going to participate in training for the first time after you have started,

you will need a judo uniform
and hakama

It's fine to just have judo uniforms, but if you're going to learn, you'd also want to have some hakama.

However, please be aware that there are some classes (dojos) where you should not wear hakama at first.

What kind of judo uniform should I choose?

First of all, it won't start without a judo uniform

It doesn't matter if you're a judo or karate uniform.
Of course, there are also Aikido jiro costumes.

Incidentally, I use a judo uniform.
The reason is that there are many and easy to buy.

Sizes are written in size and by height.
The price ranges from 3,000 to 20,000 yen, making it truly a "very wide range."

What's the difference? It's a difference in the ingredients and how it is made.
It's not safe to say that it's expensive, but there are many good things as long as they're expensive.
- The fabric is durable (it doesn't tear easily)

does not easily fall apart

The cheap ones are smooth, but they dries quickly after washing ! lol

What I'm currently using is an Aikido uniform that costs 10,000 yen and a judo uniform that costs 5,000 yen.

So where can I buy it? It's a martial arts specialty store, but there aren't many.
In Kumamoto, I bought it at Musashido, located in front of the Budokan in Suisenji Temple

I also bought this at
All Japan B-Dougashi , located near Kyoyodai Hospital in Kita Ward, Kumamoto City, which is located near my house

Each can also be purchased online, so once the size is decided, you can easily purchase it.

recommend
the super famous " Toyamado If you're particular, we recommend this as well.

It's very convenient and useful now, as it's easy to buy online too~(^^♪

How to choose, buy and wear hakama

Now, when you think of Aikido, you probably imagine the image of a hakama

Hakama does not have to be used for aikido.
I use hakama for kendo.
Of course, hakama for aikido is fine.

The difference is that the "waist board" that hits the waist is hard for kendo purposes, while the soft for Aikido purposes.
But even if it's stiff, it doesn't get in the way of practice at all.

My hakama cost around 5,000 yen, and it cost several hundred yen to embroidery my name.

Hakama can also be purchased at the stores introduced above.

It's difficult to wear and fold! I think you might think so.
If you write down how to wear it here, it will be quite long, so I recommend using the video as a reference.

This is easy to understand

It's quite fun to be taught how to fold with your seniors after practice

To continue training in Aikido

I'm fully motivated to start the training and go to rehearsals, but will I be able to keep up? ? ?
There is inevitably such an anxiety.

of those worries .

There are many things I often hear about:

" Is it tough? "
" Are there any women there? "
" Are you getting injured? "

be honest , once you get used to it, it's nothing.
It's not Spartan like a school club.
This is a classroom (dojo) with common knowledge for adults, so if it's tough, just take a break, and if you're feeling well, just keep practicing.

Regarding
" Are there a lot of women? I go to two female dan-sans and four class members.
There seem to be nearly 10 people in the majority.
In fact, there is no need to be afraid of the teachers and seniors in every classroom (dojo) because they are all working adults.

Regarding
" Would you get injured? For this reason, they are told to take out sports insurance

Looking at the injuries that have been injured up up until now, it seems that they often end up using difficult techniques and

Therefore, if you get a strong passive approach to the basics, you don't have to be afraid of injury.
And if you're not feeling well, just take a break !

About the contents of Aikido training

I get nervous until I go to practice for the first time! I was like that too.
Will something be tested? Will you be told a long story?
What was I was thinking.

In reality, my seniors will give you advice on how to worship, some degree of etiquette and behaviour.
Then I'll continue to participate in the training.

First, we start with warm-up exercises.
Then, once you have finished practicing the basic mold, you will begin practicing the technique.

will be focused on getting
them to remember the mold and passiveness It's probably better to teach one-on-one.

I'm sure you'll be practicing for the first month without knowing what's going on, but please be patient at first!

In my opinion, I think
it will be difficult for a few months after you start studying I learned to be passive with all the people in four or five months.
At the same time, I've gotten used to practicing the techniques.

Training techniques includes "throwing", "expert", and "hard".
It's only natural that all of these are difficult when you first try them.

However, I was so moved when I thought about and tried out things I didn't understand in my own way and was able to do it.
Once you experience that feeling, you will no longer be able to quit Aikido .

Let's practice more and more.
NICE TRY!
After practice, the teacher will practice consecutively as a self-practicing practice.

summary

I wrote about it are introductory and are going to practice for the first time

Complete set of jiujutsu and relieve anxiety .
I narrowed it down to this.

How much else does it cost?
Is it okay if I can't go due to work schedules?
Do I have to play games?

And so on.

Regarding matches, Aikido "doesn't play games,"
instead of "they don't play games," there is a "experimentary event" where you can show the content of your practice.
I'll write about this later.

The best thing to do is to first go to a classroom (dojo), become friends with everyone, and have fun training.
Then I naturally started thinking about Aikido!

I think it's good to have studied Aikido.
That 's what you're saying, It's somehow calmer, isn't it?

What does it mean to train your body and mind? I don't even know that myself.
However, as your body and mind are fulfilling, it seems that a person's "atmosphere" will also become more peaceful

That's why I would like to continue to do Aikido in Kumamoto and I would like to increase my friends.

It's been a long time, so I'd like to do it so far.
In the future, I would like to update the practice sessions and more.

It was Taiko!
