I had a long vacation so I decided to travel alone.

First, we went to Izumo Taisha Shrine.

The reason is that I like to learn about Japan's ancient ideas, views on life and death, and history.
I also read several books about ancient Shinto and was even more interested.

We left Matsue before 6am and moved to Izumo.
From there, we took the Ichibata train to the station in front of Izumo Taisha Shrine.

Arrived at the hall of worship.
Shimenawa is big.
Just a morning ritual? I guess so. The drums were playing.

Arrived at the main shrine.
There is no entry here so I only visited.
There's also a guard.
From this time the rain started to get heavier and I was able to take shelter.
I also saw staff members enter the main hall.

This is Kagura Hall.
Apparently there are various festivals to be held.
There were also a lot of people here.

There are many shrines around the main shrine.
The "paperback" lies directly behind this.
Was there a variety of books preserved?

This one!
It's Sokusha!
Susanoo no Mikoto is enshrined here.
When I read a translated book from the Kojiki, I found out that Susanoo no Mikoto is the younger brother of Amaterasu Omikami.
It's embarrassing that I didn't know.
I also heard that the extermination of Yamata no Orochi is set in Okuizumo and the Ibi River.
I'd like to go there again next time.

Security guards' station.
I also like this kind of thing lol

There were many other places I looked around, but there were so many that I couldn't show them all.
I could also hear conversations from people who came to visit the shrine.
I'm sure you're interested in true Japanese history.

Come to think of it, there was a mountain behind the shrine, which had a very strong presence.
I felt this huge energy.

You can't do this unless you come four more times.
There is also a direct bus to the airport, so it seems to be easy to access.

When you think of Izumo Taisha, Okuninushi-no-Minami.
And then there's a story about transferring the country.
What exactly was this? !
My interest grew even more.

I might write a second installment as well.

thank you very much.
